Since its establishment in 2017, Dentafix Dental Practice identified a critical gap in dental care for individuals who play essential roles in our society yet struggle to access standard dental treatment due to financial constraints. The high cost of dental services has left many from low-income backgrounds without the care they deserve, leading to a reliance on unqualified practitioners. This has resulted in severe consequences such as tooth loss, worsening of dental diseases, and increased exposure to communicable diseases like Hepatitis and AIDS.
In response to this pressing need, Dentafix launched a welfare program in 2018 aimed at addressing these challenges. The program is dedicated to offering accessible, high-quality dental care to individuals with low socioeconomic status, ensuring they receive proper treatment rather than risking their health through unsafe alternatives.
By prioritizing community health and striving to bridge the gap in dental care, Dentafix is committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of underserved populations, recognizing that oral health is a fundamental part of overall well-being.
The trust category runs in which the patient self-finances his/her treatment on a cost-to-cost basis under a NO PROFIT NO LOSS phenomenon. The patients are able to acquire all treatment options as the patient is financing his/her treatment.
In 2019, Dentafix started the Zakat category due to the patient demand from individuals of low socioeconomic status. This category is only reserved for Muslims.
Dentafix does not run advertisement campaigns to fund this program. Rather, this category is funded by the profits earned from the daily patient flow at Dentafix. The Zakat category covers consultations, fillings, root canals, scaling, and extractions.
The only requirement for the patients undergoing Zakat treatment is to sign a form. These patients are treated in the same environment and with the same facilities as regular patients.
*(Dentafix only caters to these patients one day a week as specified by the administration, which is conveyed to the patients.)
